New Horizons – The Globetrotter Podcast for Sustainability in the Outdoor Industry
EPISODE 22.
A Roadmap for Climate Action
The world faces the enormous challenge of meeting the Paris Agreement and achieving global carbon neutrality by 2050.
In this episode, we explore the Exponential Roadmap Initiative, which helps companies cut their emissions in half every decade and scale solutions exponentially to effectively limit climate change.
We speak with Johan Falk, one of the initiative’s founders, about why it is crucial for companies not only to set targets but also to consistently take the necessary action.
What does this mean for business and society?
Many companies are setting net-zero targets, but true success lies in implementation. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the first step must be to halve global emissions by 2030 in order to limit temperature rise as close as possible to 1.5°C. Achieving this requires collaboration between businesses, governments, and society to scale sustainable, nature-positive, and climate-friendly solutions.
The Exponential Roadmap Initiative plays a central role in this process by helping to coordinate these efforts and supporting companies in driving this transformation through the exponential scaling of solutions.
